1. How does The Bloom House receive referrals for children?

We receive referrals through social services and other community agencies regarding a foster child with a need or a foster family need.

2. Do you provide overnight care at The Bloom House?

No. The Bloom House is a day program. We consider it a like a hub. It's a place where children, teens, and families connected to the foster care system can receive care and support. We provide fun activities such as art, baking, and life skills classes. We provide tangible items such as clothing and hygiene items. We provide referrals such as therapy and mental health. We provide Christian mentors and a place of community for those we serve to have an extended family. As a Christ-centered organization, we believe it's our calling as outlined in James 1:27: "Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you."

3. Do you allow volunteers?

Yes. We do have an application and background check process before becoming a volunteer.

4. Are there any charges for your services?

No. We are completely supported by the generosity of our community.

5. Can my family become a foster family?

Yes! We are passionate about the body of Christ bridging the gap in the foster care system. We have resources to help you learn more about this need as you pray about taking this step. Please contact us to discuss.

6. How many do you serve annually?

Since launching our program in 2016, we have served 32 children. Our goal by the end of 2017 is to serve 100+ children and 60 + families. We need your sponsorship and prayers to make this happen! Our desire is to build long lasting relationships with those we serve.
